the 3 frozen food staples that i always have in my freezer

We don’t always have time to go to the grocery store, and I find that when we don’t have healthy options in our fridge/freezer, we are more likely to turn to the more unhealthy choices.

Imagine this: you just returned home from a trip on Sunday. You don’t have time to go to the grocery store before work the next day. So what do you do for food on Monday? Maybe you skip meals and spend the day hungry. Maybe you order in food that isn’t the healthiest because 1) you have no food 2) you are ordering anyways 2) and you’re starving and we all make questionable decisions when we are hungry. Or maybe you just pick at chips and other pantry items with no substance and no nutrients all day and don’t feel satiated.

For times like those, it is helpful to have some good options in the freezer that you can turn to. Below are some key frozen staples that I keep (I also recommend frozen veggies, too) so even when my fridge is empty, I have healthy options for breakfast and lunch.

I love these for breakfast or a snack. Even when my fridge is stocked, I still eat them. Put some nut butter on there and you are good to go!

These are a must at all times - they are so multi-purpose. I love to use them with the veggie burgers below and make a quick wrap (bonus points if you have mustard and/or vegan mayo, sauerkraut or pepperoncini’s to add in). If you have some eggs you can make a quick burrito. If you have some canned tuna, a tuna wrap. Almond butter, an “almond butter” quesadilla. And when your fridge is stocked, tacos, fajitas, wraps, you name it. I love these!

Love these! They are so easy to make (obviously) and especially when you’re fridge is empty, a nice way to get some vegetables in. I’ll have them in a wrap, a sandwich, on a salad or just plain!
