New Matcha alert: Baahtcha
There was this cafe (Noon) in Bayhead New Jersey that had world class matcha. I never really get matcha at cafes because, personally, I think most cafes just don’t do a great job. BUT, this place was amazing so I had to ask what matcha they used. Enter: Baahtcha. It tastes great - strong but not too strong - and is so fine that it just dissolves in hot water. I find for a lot of matchas the pieces kind of clump together and you need a whisk etc - it turns into either a big process or clumpy, not so great tasting matcha.
All this to say, if you are a matcha lover (or even if you are not), try Baatcha. I add a little cinnamon, vanilla and oatmilk … chef’s kiss.
