Just over here doing some taste-testing. Here’s my roundup of the Siete cookies.

TLDR: Mexican Shortbread is my favorite, but I’d choose Simple Mills cookies any day of the week. I can’t pinpoint why, but these just don’t satisfy my sweet tooth. I have one, or two, and I don’t feel like I’ve had the desert I’d wanted.

Mexican Wedding

These are essentially gingerbead-like cookies covered in “confectioner’s sugar.” Everytime I have one I am baffled that they don’t have more sugar - they taste so sweet, and yet the amount of sugar is not that high. I don’t understand! They have a nice crunch, and like all the Siete cookies, are small. I like, but don’t love.

Mexican Chocolate

I think these serve a good purpose. They’re small, chocolatey and crunchy which is a good combination. If I compare them to Simple Mills, the Simple Mills wins, but I would not be mad to see these in my cabinet.

Mexican Shortbread

I’d categorize these as a crunchy snickerdoodle, and they’re my favorite of the bunch. I kiiiiind of wish they had these as a soft cookie, though.
